Samsung will roll LTE modem Norway and Sweden

Now Samsung is finally ready with their LTE modem that brings the speed of the mobile network of up to 100 megabits per second. The first countries with the technology becomes Norway and Sweden.

Samsung calls the technology for 4G, and despite the fact that there really is a 3G standard, it definitely puts a new standard for maximum speeds over the mobile network. Samsung is ready with their LTE modem that should provide speeds of up to 100 megabits per second.

Availability
The first countries to use the technology are Norway and Sweden, respectively Netcom and TeliaSonera is in the process of expanding to support the new technology. Initially there will be only talking about the coverage of capital city of Oslo and Stockholm. In both countries there are plans to launch the so-called 4G technology during 2010, and in Sweden, Samsung has signed an agreement to provide modems for TeliaSonera.

These LTE modems will operate at exactly the same way as the current 3G and turbo-3G modems, then via the USB port on your computer.
